The tragic story of Viva Settle

Sandsfossen is one of two major rapids in the Suldalslågen river. Throughout history, several people have had unfortunate incidents in this area, leading to serious consequences. In the video, you will hear landowner and salmon enthusiast, Bjørn Moe, tell the story of Viva Settle, the daughter of one of the salmon lords, and her tragic fate.

The salmon studio in Suldal is the first of its kind in Norway!

Here you can learn about the unique Salmo Suldal, that lives at the intersection between the natural life in the biggest river on the West Coast of Norway and the biggest hydropower producer in Northern Europe; Ulla Førre.

The salmon studio is open June-September.
