Efforts to secure the habitat of the Suldal salmon are ongoing, involving a number of different organizations. During the summer season, fish wardens also visit the salmon ladders to check the fish coming up. Here, sick fish or those that do not belong in the river are removed. All fish entering the river via the salmon ladders on the north and south sides are also counted.
In the video, Hans Sæter, leader of the Suldal Hunting and Fishing Association, discusses the management efforts to protect the salmon's habitat in the river.
