Norway's first salmon studio!

You are now standing just above Sandsfossen and what is Norway's first salmon studio. The studio is quite small, but has a rich history and offers a unique insight into the natural migration of salmon from the sea to the river. You also gain insight into the many joys and sorrows that salmon have brought to the Suldal community. In the video, landowner and salmon enthusiast, Bjørn Moe, introduces you to the unique wild salmon stock in Suldalslågen.

Welcome to the Salmon Studio!

The salmon studio in Suldal is the first of its kind in Norway!

Here you can learn about the unique Salmo Suldal, that lives at the intersection between the natural life in the biggest river on the West Coast of Norway and the biggest hydropower producer in Northern Europe; Ulla Førre.

The salmon studio is open June-September.
