Marvik Chapel

Marvik Chapel celebrates 100 years in 2021!

Marvik Chapel was consecrated on September 25, 1921. In the 100 years the chapel has been in operation, the building has been an important part of the community on the Ropeid Peninsula. In the video, church warden Magnar Stokka tells about the chapel's rich history. Here you can hear about how the work to build the chapel began, about renovations that have been carried out, and about activities that have been associated with the chapel. Magnar himself has been a church warden at Marvik Chapel for over 30 years, taking over the position from his father, who was the church warden before him.
