National Tourist Routes have designated various roads in Norway as particularly scenic to drive along. The Ryfylke National Tourist Route is one of them. The 260 km journey from Oanes by Lysefjorden to Håra in Røldal is a trip of contrasts, featuring high mountains and deep fjords, mighty waterfalls, and award-winning architecture.
Along the route, there are great stops such as Høsebrua, the Power Architecture at Nesflaten, Blåsjø by Gullingen, Ostasteidn, the Waiting Room at Ropeid, Svandalsfossen, Almannajuvet, and Røldal Stave Church. Guggedalsloftet at the Kolbeinstveit museum farm, the former sheriff's residence Fossheim, and the cluster farm Litunet are also worth a stop.
