The biggest salmon caught in Suldalslågen

Suldalslågen is known for its large salmon, and fish weighing well over 10 kilos are caught every season. The largest salmon ever caught in the river weighed a massive 34 kg, and it was a huge effort to land it. In this video, landowner and salmon enthusiast, Bjørn Moe, tells the story.

The salmon studio in Suldal is the first of its kind in Norway!

Here you can learn about the unique Salmo Suldal, that lives at the intersection between the natural life in the biggest river on the West Coast of Norway and the biggest hydropower producer in Northern Europe; Ulla Førre.

The salmon studio is open June-September.
