All communication under Skattkammeret Suldal shall support our shared brand strategy, so that the effort to promote Suldal as a good place to live, work, and visit is built upon a common foundation of values and knowledge. You can read the brand strategy here.
Users of the Skattkammer Suldal profile also commit to following Suldal's guidelines for responsible marketing so that information, images, and other communication support good visitor management, safe travel, and the building of local identity. Read the guidelines here.
Skattkammeret Suldal has its own logo designed to enhance brand building. The logo consists of an icon and a wordmark.
The icon symbolizes both the "treasures" of the municipality radiating outwards, and it can also represent water droplets, which in turn become vital power for industry and other businesses in the municipality.
The wordmark is set in a typography that has a clean expression and is highly legible. The wordmark is intended to symbolize strength and stability, combining hard and soft forms.
The logo consists of two elements: a symbol and a wordmark. The logo must always be used in its original form. Colors, font, and spacing must not be altered. The wordmark in the logo must always be used in 100% black or white. The colored logo must always be placed on a background that provides good legibility and contrast to the colors.
The single-color main logo can be used in 100% black or 100% white.
The logo should not be used smaller than 15 mm in width to ensure good legibility in print. For digital surfaces, the minimum size is 75 pixels in width.

To preserve the logo's distinctiveness, no other elements should be placed closer than the area around the logo, marked as a dashed frame below. This area is defined for all logo versions in the brand profile.

The logo must always be used according to the guidelines in this manual. Here are some examples of proper and improper logo usage.

There are four main colors in the Skattkammeret Suldal profile: blue, green, red, and orange, along with a neutral black (white) additional color. The colors are defined according to the Pantone color system. The colors can be used with 4-color CMYK profiles for print and RGB profiles for screens.
The main colors in the profile can be tinted at any percentage of saturation.

To ensure a consistent look across all marketing materials, it is necessary to consistently use the same fonts. This creates a clean impression, contributes to brand building, and strengthens the reputation. Only the fonts defined in the brand guidelines should be used. In headings, intros, and body text, the font Gotham or its condensed version Gotham Narrow should be used. All weights of the font can be used. Below is a selection of weights. For internal use, and in cases where it is not possible to use the primary font, the font Arial should be used.
A tag has been designed for the profile. The tag is primarily intended for use by municipalities and public entities, but can also be used by businesses and private individuals who wish to promote Suldal in their marketing. Multiple tags should not be used together or on the same product. Typography, shape, and colors must not be altered. All color versions of the tag, as shown here, may be used. The minimum recommended size for the tag is: Print = 20 mm width. Digital = 80 pixels width.
The "Skattkammeret Suldal" tag in other languages can be used in marketing targeted at international audiences. Note! For products with multiple languages in addition to Norwegian, the Norwegian tag should primarily be used. Typography, form, and colors must not be changed. All color versions of the tag shown here may be used.
For the Skattkammeret Suldal tag to be perceived as a mark and not a logo, it should always be placed along the top edge of a document or an image. The tag should not be placed near its own or any other logo. The tag should, as much as possible, be used together with the main logo, as this will connect the elements and contribute to increased brand building. Below are some examples of the use and placement of the tag element. The examples use graphic elements and colors from Skattkammeret Suldal's profile.

Colors are important tools in Skattkammeret Suldal's visual identity. They complement images and link the graphic elements to the profile. Colors can be used as backgrounds, for text blocks, for highlighting text, or as supporting elements for headings. All main colors in the profile can be used as decorative elements. Colors can be used in combinations that provide sufficient contrast for readability, and balance with images and other elements.

Ringverknad (Ripple Effect) elements are graphic support elements in Skattkammeret Suldal's profile. The elements are abstract organic shapes, inspired by landscapes and natural resources. The shapes are intended to symbolize movement and development, where smaller and larger forces influence each other, while simultaneously spreading outwards in the same direction. The elements can, when appropriate, be divided and used in various forms as supporting elements for the other tools in the profile.
The ripple effect elements can be used as graphics on colored backgrounds. They can be used in all colors and saturations from the profile, and in contrast to various background colors, but different colors should not be mixed within a single element.
The ripple effect elements can be used as graphics on images, as a shape into which images can be inserted, and in combination with color blocks. It is recommended to use the elements when the goal is to enhance and complement images, and to create form and movement to convey a mood. It is not recommended to use the elements when the images themselves are intended to convey a clear message.

Ripple Effect can be used in several ways together with the other elements in the profile. Here are some examples of layout combinations.

For Ripple Effect, a tool has been created where one can use PowerPoint to create images with Ripple Effect effects.
