The village comes alive in summer with many tourists and visitors. In Jelsa, you can visit the unique Jelsa Church with its hand-painted starry sky, the school museum, and you can swim from the beach. They have a local grocery store and you'll find a petrol station in the area. There are several great cycling and hiking trails nearby.

The marina has electricity, water, toilets, showers, and laundry facilities.
