Nesflaten is a protected area featuring unique architecture from the Røldal-Suldal hydroelectric development in the 1960s. The detached houses at Kilen, the power station, and the Energihotellet all showcase a distinct functionalist style, characterized by concrete, minimalism, and flat roofs. The route passes the school and the swimming pool on the way to the old wooden bridge.
