The ambition for Drøs is to create a meeting place for the different rhythms of the day and year. They aim to create a cafe that meets the diverse needs of different people, one that is flexible and multifunctional. Here, the urban will meet the rural, where you'll find something thoroughly 'Suldal-esque', but in a fresh and new way. Drøs is for both the youth and the local character. Drøs will be culture and office, coffee and pastries, pizza and wine. They also offer accommodation, event venue rental, and catering.
On the second floor of the building, Drøs has established its own coffee roastery, where the goal is to bring the barista coffee culture to Gata with coffee production, storage, and distribution. Furthermore, they also have a microbakery offering artisanal baked goods, sweet pastries, homemade pasta, and pizza, among other things.
Stay in the heart of Sand (Suldal) at Bed & Brunsj. Bed & Brunsj is a B&B on the third floor of the same historic building as Drøs. The house dates back to 1890.
Here you are just minutes away from shops, the bus station, the quay, the market, shopping, the fjord, the beach, cultural center, cinema, bowling, library, museum, other tourist attractions and within walking distance of the famous Suldal Bad swimming pool.
It's just a short drive to great hiking and cycling trails, salmon fishing, and river activities like salmon safaris.

Drøs is a restructuring project where they aim to be a key driving force in town center and destination development. They believe the concept should be a benchmark for creative development, focusing on environmental, social, and economic sustainability. Throughout the process, they have made active choices, including opting for architectural and environmentally friendly interior solutions with chairs made from coffee grounds, spent grain, and recycled ocean plastic. They have also purchased 'Minus' chairs from the local company Nuen, which are zero-emission.
The Ryfylke Museum shop is located right by the fjord in the municipal center of Sand. Pick up local literature and handmade products in beautiful surroundings.
Close to the fjord at Hebnes, you'll find Hebnes Vineyard. Here you can take a tour of the vineyard and taste its wines.

Stranddalen Tourist Cabin is often called "The Pearl of Ryfylkeheiane". The cabin is situated in beautiful mountain scenery 1000 meters above sea level. In summer, they offer their fantastic three-course dinners.
