Børkjenes Farm is idyllically situated in Hamrabø with its scenic surroundings and distinctive mountain farm environment. The farm stretches from 280 to 1350 meters above sea level, from the farmstead all the way up to the mountains, and has a total of 40 buildings. These include the main house, retirement house, barn, sheep house, hen house, storehouse, mill house, grain drying house, cable car house, cart shed with wood storage, smokehouse, smithy, and sawmill. Most of the buildings are from the 19th century, but several buildings and stories also date back further in time.

They also received Suldal municipality's building preservation award in 2018 for their work in safeguarding the architectural heritage at Børkjenes through their many small and large restoration projects.
