Salmon fishing in Suldalslågen

Suldalslågen is Western Norway's largest river, stretching over 22 km from Suldalsvatnet to Sandsfjorden. Suldalslågen does not have a very large drop, but flows calmly through Suldalsdalen before ending in Sandsfossen by Sand.

Suldalslågen is today a renowned salmon river, especially known for its large salmon stock, with a record salmon weighing a massive 34 kilos! The entire river is salmon-bearing and offers good and varied fishing opportunities. The river is regulated following the Suldal-Røldal development and the Ulla-Førre development, and has a minimum water flow. This ensures good fishing conditions throughout the entire season.
