Stranddalen Mountain Lodge - The Pearl of Ryfylkeheiane

Stranddalen is the most popular tourist cabin in the area, often called "The Pearl of Ryfylkeheiane". During the summer season, the cabin is staffed by friendly hosts who welcome you, take care of visitors, and serve delicious homemade meals based on local ingredients. Stranddalen also has a license to sell alcohol.

The hike to Stranddalen starts from Øvre Moen in the Gullingen area, beginning with a steep ascent before leveling out as you approach the cabin. Alternatively, you can start the hike from Kvilldal for a route with more even terrain.

The cabin has a total of 12 beds, in addition to a loft. The trip to Stranddalen can also be combined with various family-friendly and more challenging hikes in Ryfylkeheiane, fishing in mountain lakes, and swimming in fresh mountain air.
