Kolbeinstveit Museum Farmstead

Kolbeinstveit Museum Farmstead dates from the 1850s and is one of the most visited sites of the regional museum Ryfylkemuseet. The site consists of a number of historic houses, some original to the location and others moved here later. A highlight is Guggedalsloftet which is one of the oldest wooden buildings in Rogaland.

In summer, the museum farmstead comes alive with hosts and animals. Visitors are welcomed in traditional clothing and can join guided tours, animal feeding, various traditional games, and much more. They also offer a small farm menu where you can enjoy piping hot butter porridge with Suldal ham, waffles, or Suldal beet. How about enjoying your meal in a historic atmosphere in one of the living rooms, or perhaps outside on the patio with magnificent views of Suldalsvatnet lake and the waterfall? There is also an exhibition in the barn every year.

Throughout the year, Kolbeinstveit hosts various events. In summer, you can experience a family day with different traditional games and activities.
