Five fjords from Hellandsnuten

Hellandsnuten is a magnificent peak where, from the top, you get a view of the area's five fjords: Sandsfjorden, Hylsfjorden, Saudafjorden, Vindafjorden, and Lovrafjorden.

The hike starts from Joagarden Kindergarten in Eide, where you'll find a parking lot. The entrance to the Stegåsen hiking area is just up on the hill above the parking lot. From here, follow the road up to a crossing tractor path at Jonsokplassen, which you follow uphill to the right, and turn right at the first opportunity, before following the blue markers and the path further uphill. Several sections of this hike can be demanding where it is very steep. The reward, however, awaits at the top, where you can take in one of the best panoramic views in the entire region! Remember to sign the guestbook located by the cairn!

For those who prefer a slightly easier hike, you can also try Stegåsen rundt or Eidsliane in the same hiking area.

Facts about the hike:

Time: 6 hours

Grading: Demanding (red/black)

Highest point: 740 masl

Access: By car to Eide on Sand
