Summit hike to Reinsnuten

Reinsnuten is the highest peak in the area around Mosvatnet (1144 masl). The hike is demanding, but well worth it when you reach the fantastic 360-degree views of fjords and mountains.

The hike starts at the parking lot right by the turn-off towards Gullingen Tourist Centre. From here, you take a tractor road towards Stavastølen before following signs to the marked trail up to Reinsstolen. A long uphill climb takes you to Bråtane where the trail goes towards Bergjordsholet. This is where the ascent begins, and the last section before the summit is truly steep. The return trip follows the same path you came up.
