Gullingen Hiking Map

The Gullingen area is located approximately 500-700 meters above sea level and is a center for great nature experiences in Skattkammeret Suldal.

The area has been used for a long time, with traces found of Stone Age people who hunted and Vikings who extracted iron ore. In the 1980s, the area became home to Northern Europe's largest hydropower development. Ulla-Førre, which has put Suldal on the map as a power giant, accounts for 8% of Norway's annual power production. Today, the area is used as open pasture for sheep and is a hub for great experiences in the Ryfylkeheiane mountains.

You can download a hiking map for the Gullingen area by clicking here (map) and here (information). You can also get the map at Suldal tourist information and selected stores.
