Family hike at Ritlandsvatnet

A pleasant stroll in easy terrain with Ritlandsvatnet as its closest neighbor.

Park at the parking lot by Kvednahola at Vasshus. The trail follows a forest road along Ritlandsvatnet to Vassbotn, then continues on a path through Bydalen to the main road. Return to the car along the main road. There is rich vegetation associated with small bogs and old pine forests in Vassbotn.

Well-maintained: The path along Ritlandsvatnet is wide and gravelled. Expect some ascent. During parts of the year, the starting point of the route is covered by a river.
